Battlefield 3 won’t be supporting DirecX 9 (PC)

When it comes to being a gamer, you typically fall into one of two categories: either you’re primarily a console gamer, or primarily a PC gamer. And though there are a number of differences between the two groups, one area in which the two meet is the need to play catch-up. Battlefield 3 is said to have similar requirements to its predecessor, Bad Company 2 - mainly due to the fact that it’s powered by an updated version of the Frostbite engine, Frostbite 2.0. As such, it should play much the same as Bad Company 2 did, but it should be noted that it won’t be supporting DirecX 9, so it can’t run on Windows XP.
